Pick the wedding and what's on the card, like candid photos or video. SHOTSAFE names the folders the same way every time.

Files go to your main drive and your backup together. Each one is compared with the card afterwards, and you only see "safe to format" when both copies match.

Before you install

Does SHOTSAFE upload my photos to the cloud?

No. Your photos and videos stay on your own drives. SHOTSAFE keeps a catalogue of file names, folders and small thumbnails online so your team can search and check from their phones.

Which computers does it run on?

The Mac app runs on Apple Silicon and Intel Macs. A Windows version is on the way. The phone dashboard works in any modern phone browser.

Do I need to set anything up on a server?

No. Sign up with your email, install the Mac app and sign in. We run the online side for you.

What happens to files on a drive if I remove it from SHOTSAFE?

Nothing. Removing a drive only makes SHOTSAFE forget its catalogue. The files on the drive are never touched.

Can more than one person use it?

Yes. Invite your editors and assistants to your studio. Everyone sees the same drives, history and live backups.

Not sure which Mac you have? Click the Apple menu, then About This Mac. If it says Apple M1 or newer, pick Apple Silicon. The first time you open SHOTSAFE, if macOS says it can't be opened, right-click it in Applications and choose Open.
